Hoping that you have had a bit of relaxing time at this opportunity, and as for me I went back to my hometown in the west for family gathering.
Above Miyajima island was quite jammed with people visiting the world heritage shrine, and in recent years the island has become really popular with new stores like of lemons, local oysters etc. (although arrival of starbucks looked strange to me).
Then on the way back to Kanto, I took a train from Osaka and dropped in myself at Wakayama prefecture virtually after a very long time. I had visited so-called Kohyasan and Shirahama beach with my sister in my 20s.
Well, this opportunity brought me more to the south part and those sceneries were merely amazing. As you could see, deep-blue ocean and some islands or rocks may instantly make you remain breathtaken.
The town is famous for "tuna" and offshore fishery; it was also the land of world heritage - sacred sites and surprisingly, whale watching. I did not have enough time however I felt that these places would be for the next chance.
