fragrance of spring and island time

Hello and good morning.

Lovely spring is just flourishing, and how is everything with you, although the pollens seem to have increased this year?  🌺

I went back to hometown in the west for several days with my elder sons, and climate was beautiful with those tourists recently returning to the usual.

Due to the completion of "juken" (big exams to enter high school or university), I took children to first visit my mother's grave, who had passed away in last spring.

The boys last spoke with their grandmum when she could still stand and have conversation.  Merely after one and a half month, she was taken to the heaven because of disease.  It is really strange feeling to me since then, to find that my mum has been at nowhere in that large house.

*boys have grown up and got so tall now!

My mother, even from three daughters' view, was much talented person.  Well I would say that she probably made lots of efforts too, in order to get better;  she was excellent in knitting, the flower lover & gardener as well as fashion lover, a good cook and especially in my childhood she often baked sweets with fashionable American oven.

She also taught me some English then far later on when I started teaching English / Portuguese she said that my language ability and perspectives became in bloom, having had spent 6 years in abroad.

However, sending all daughters for overseas at teenager (which I suppose was enormous work as parents), I bet that at the bottom mum sometimes felt lonely in spite of herself being independent.

In that way, she could maintain good distance with the children, but I am not so independent hence will be simply happier that my son goes to university from home.
