*Cute and tasty carrot cake store where I popped in the other day
Morning!
With a bit chilly air in the mornings and nights, it is becoming nice season for hot coffee, soups or stews, isn’t it.
心地よい秋風吹き抜けるこの頃、風邪など流行り始めていますが、どうぞ温かくしてお過ごしください。🌺
夏季からの読売・横浜センター、英語コースも秋季へ入り、今週は祝日にも関わらず満席で二時間近く進めました。
初めてwriting Englishの小さな宿題を出していたので、B5程の内容で書いてこられ。。お題は「保持してゆきたい日本のカルチャー What sorts of Japanese cultures do you wish to preserve?」。
十人十色の様に、色々な意見や思いがありましたが：
・春夏秋冬の表現が美しい日本庭園
・公共におけるゴミ持ち帰りのルール （＊欧米では見られない、街中に大きなゴミ箱あり）
・日本の子どもの行事、七五三やお宮参りの祝い事
・故郷で代々伝わる梅エキス
・言葉の先まで読む日本人の思いやり （＊おしぼりはありますか、と訊くと持ってきて欲しいとリクエスト無しでも出てくる）
・和食
美しい日本庭園を挙げてくださったのは島根県の“足立美術館”という場所で、Japanese gardenの中に山・川・四季の景観が凝縮され、多くの外国人も訪れるということでした。

*Lovely gyoza and mixed-spice curry, that my boyfriend taught me in detail. We have put in some ethnic spices, coffee, sautéed onions and it ended up so delicious! 餃子は野菜を一杯入れるとより旨し、カレーはいくつかスパイス混合してまろやかに仕上がる。。いつも目利きの冴えているboyfriendから習っており。💟
保持したい日本のカルチャーに、私からは和食を提案しました。
"For me, something I would like this country to preserve is the Japanese food.
In the past, I had visited many countries and places around the world, and although areas such as France, Italy or some Asian cities have great cuisine, I think that Japan possesses its very original dishes which allure considerable number of fans now and ever.
Japanese food is really healthy, and I suppose that can be one reason why our nation is known as country of life longevity (especially among women). Also, we use various sorts of seasoning or particular ways of cooking like miso, dashi, mirin, sake etc.
Therefore, at this era in which our way of living has been much influenced by the western, I wish we could sustain our traditions and healthy life for the future and for next generation too."
熱心な受講生さんですと毎回の題材にプレゼン原稿まで用意してこられ、こちらも身が引き締まる思いです。 また知見の広い方も多く「このクラスで社会勉強させて貰ってます」と。。 英文 writingは今後も定期的に、outputの意欲を促しつつやっていきたいなと感じました。👢🌿
